Wilhelm Plastic

1958	In 1958 the business was registered and we started with 4 hand operated injection moulding machines to start production. We also involved our self with the manufacture and maintenance of Injection moulding dies. Products: We started to produce Toys out of PS (Polystyrene) or PE (Polyethylene). Which were produced on Injection moulding machines made by the Company Mundt at Tambach-Dietharz.

End 1959	At the end of 1959 a small number of companies in East Germany united to form a Production Association. At the same Time Oskar Wilhelm the original founder of the company developed a Granulation Mill for recycling of plastic material to recycle plastic reject products for further use.

1961	This year we changed over to PGH Holz Plastic Manufacturer. Products we made then where made from PA (Polyethylene) and PC (Polycarbonate), and consisted of buttons for telephone keyboards and washing machines parts. At that time we had 4 employees.

1970	In that year we parted with PGH Holz Plastic Manufacturer and Affiliated with VEB URSUS with the Head office in Berlin as an independent Manufacturing Company at Floh-Seligenthal with 5 Employees.

1972	This was the year we where forced by the Government GDR to sell our Plant and Equipment to the State. The Product we made then where technical parts for Kitchen utensil and relay components, we also made article parts for the Cosmetic Industries.

1977	Oskar Wilhelm worked together with his son’s Dieter and later Reiner. This year we joined the Folks owned Company’s (VEB Berlinplast) to produce Consumer products. Those components where small parts for Kitchen utensils, as in Coffee Machines and other Kitchen products.

1990	After the collapse of the German Democratic Government (GDR) the Company restructured itself on the 1-07-1990 in to Wilhelm-Plastic as a private Plastic Manufacturer.

1993	A Disasters’ Fire consumed the whole Factory and destroyed all Plant and Equipment and Building. We recovered in the shortest time possible and started again with 5 Injection moulding machines within 2 months in an old Company Building at the Property’s of Bauerschmidt Company at Struth-Helmershof with 12 Employees to start manufacturing again.

1994	We began to build a new Manufacturing and administration Building. Later in the year we moved in to our newly constructed Premises and Manufacturing Facility with 7 Injection Moulding Machines and 12 employees. As Manufacturing demand where high we Manufactured in 2 Shift’s, and the Product where parts for the Automobile and Electrical Industries.

1995	We achieved certification for Quality Assurance to ISO 9001.

2000	Reiner Wilhelm Registered 1 Patent and 1 “Gebrauchsmusterschutz”for the building of a new Storage Facility The “Gebrauchmusterschutz” word is explained in the following text. (This is a utility model and it is an intellectual property right to protect inventions. It is very similar to the patent, but usually has a shorter time (often 6 or 10 years) and less stringent patentability requirements.)

2002	Beginning the designing parts for a new Product to develop chromed Light Reflector’s for CARS.

2003	New certification where established to Automobile Standard Code ISO TS 16949.

2004 - 2007	At 1st of January 2004 the company was new founded as a PTY/LTD by Reiner Wilhelm, his wife Ursula Wilhelm and children Jana Pfannstiel und Andre Wilhelm. In autumn 2007 we started to build and move into a brand new state of the art Factory Building after a long and difficult Building period.
